Mahi is an independent orphan girl living in the big city of Mumbai. She was left at the orphanage door as a newborn baby whose umbilical cord was not yet cut. Luckily for her, the orphanage administrator was a kind woman who treated the orphans with love and care. The name of this sweet, chubby, and bubbly personality was "Dove." Having been an orphan herself and then discarded by her family in her teenage years, she was aware of the pain of being an orphan. With the aim of helping children in similar situations, she had recently opened a new orphanage with great difficulty in the small town of Amarnagar, UP.
When Dove first met Mahi, a newborn baby whose wails were so loud that she managed to wake up the other three orphans in the house, she did not know if she should cry or be thankful to whoever had left Baby Mahi there. She didn't even wish to think about what fate Baby Mahi would have met if not in her care.
But today we will talk about Mahi, the shadow of Dove—a young woman with a bubbly, wonderful personality who was as fierce as a lioness when provoked yet as cuddly as a kitten once you gained her trust. Mahi left the orphanage at the age of seventeen to join a hostel near her engineering college in Mumbai. After completing her studies, she managed to land a job as a Junior Automobile Engineer and moved into a rented apartment there. She was a powerhouse of energy in college and at the office. Yet, she avoided social interaction with peers and colleagues if it wasn't mandatory. Whoever knew her knew that she was an alpha, but only one woman in the world could make her whine like a kitten, and that was none other than her admin, Mother Dove. Dove had raised Mahi, named her, cared for her, and taught her as her own daughter. Mahi was grateful, and being in Mumbai, she wished to earn enough to become a major benefactor of Dove's orphanage, which was called "My Angels."
Mahi had big plans; she had sorted her whole life into roadmaps and was religiously following them. But all this changed one night. That night was extra chilly, and Mahi was returning home from the nearby gym at 10 p.m. The streets were still filled with people, and after shedding so much sweat, Mahi was not actually feeling the chill. On her way, she saw a bright pink light being illuminated in a dark alleyway. Mahi, who always had an adventurer’s spirit, became curious about this light. That’s how her next twenty minutes were filled with the feeling of being dragged down, as though falling from the sky, and she was screaming at the top of her lungs, not understanding anything that was happening.
When Mahi finally landed, unfortunately for her, she landed directly in the arms of a person who, just a few seconds prior, was in a beautiful sleep on his bed, getting his well-deserved rest after a long workday. All of that broke suddenly when, out of thin air, Mahi landed on him—the most eligible bachelor of the Kadamba dynasty. Despite his young age of 24, he was the main advisor to the King, Yash Kadamb. His name was Prithvi Kadamb.
Prithvi and Mahi, suddenly startled and unsure of what had happened, let out a horrified scream so loud that the guards stationed outside Prithvi’s room barged in, thinking someone had attacked him. Meanwhile, Mahi quickly pushed Prithvi off the bed and was now staring at the scene in front of her with fear-filled eyes. Prithvi, rubbing his back which was now hurting, looked up at his unexpected intruder.
