The Curse

The story is fictional. Just trying to keep you entertained. Lol!

Rajnish was a super cool guy. When I say "super cool," it means he trusted no god and never believed in ghosts or any sort of paranormal activity. He had 6 members in his friend group, including him, named Aneesha, Kartik, Lamya, Dhruv, and Radhika. 

This group always believed in having fun and exploring the unexplored. They would always have some weekend plans. Their weekend plans were not like the usual ones that most Gen Z would have, like clubbing. Their weekend plans were more inclined towards spooky activities. Trying an Ouija board or being adventurous and trying spooky places. 

One such spooky place was Bharanagarh on their bucket list. 

Bharanagarh was a village that was abandoned by most people. At least this is what Aneesha had heard from her grandma. What was the real story of this place? No one knows. But it was said that Bharanagarh was ruled by a King called Ashoka Raja, who was a great warrior and protector of his subjects. Ashoka Raja had a beautiful wife called Meghrani. 

Meghrani was not only a beautiful queen but was also very intelligent. She was the definition of "beauty with brains". Many men would get their heart rate skipping the moment they would see Meghrani. She was devoted and loved Ashoka from the bottom of her heart. Her loyalty and honesty made her beloved by Ashoka. 

There was a magician called Shemranjan. He was powerful due to the power gifted to him by his Guru Shekra. His power was to take control over humans' emotions. He had the power to control any human's mind and make them think what he wanted them to think or even feel. 

Shemrajan was so famous that his magic tricks became well-known. Meghrani had a sister named Mirarani. She came to stay with Meghrani for a few months. That's when Mirarani requested Ashoka to call Shemranjan to show his magic tricks. Initially, Shemranjan was not ready to show up as he believed he should not be going to show the magic tricks; people should come to him. But then, when Raja Ashoka ordered him to show up as a subject of his kingdom, he had to go. 

Shemrajan, when he arrived at the Kingdom, felt different as the palace was so beautiful and there were just talks of the beauty of Meghrani. Meghrani's choices of flowers and antiques were so pretty and unique that Shemrajan started wondering how Meghrani actually looked. Shemrajan had a desire just to take one glance at her. Shemrajan did not have any malicious motive. He just wanted to see an artist and compliment her. 

Shemrajan entered the kingdom and stood in front of the Raja. He bowed and took his permission to start the show. Raja liked the way Shemrajan showed his magic tricks. He saw everywhere, but there were no women. That's when he saw upstairs, and there was a small window from where all the women were looking at him. However, he did not see Meghrani. 

After the show, he requested Raja to see Meghrani once. Before he could complete his sentence, Raja announced that by tonight, Shemrajan would be hanged. Shemrajan tried to use his power to protect himself, but failed to use the power you need to be able to control your emotions. However, Shemrajan was confused as to how, without even letting him complete his statement, Raja took such a decision. 

Shemrajan was hanged that night. But before hanging, he gave a curse to Raja and Meghrani that they would never be able to leave happily, and their Kingdom would burn in fire. The next day, the entire Kingdom and village were burnt. There was no plant, no water, and just a land with no beings. Since then, no builder or government personnel could enter the village. It is that part of India, which has the potential to look like a beautiful village and have facilities, but the curse left the village to be called a place of hell. 

Aneesha wanted to film this village. She immediately called all her friends, and together they decided to find this village and spend a night there. They decided to film this and post it on YouTube. Rajnish decided to take his 7-seater car, and they decided to leave the next day. The maps were downloaded, and meals, snacks, and other essentials were ready for the camps. 

The next morning at 5, the journey to Rajasthan started. Music and the vibes were on. They all reached near Rajasthan the next morning at 9:30. They were about to enter the State. Kartik asked Aneesha to explain what exactly her grandma told her about the village and the story. 

Friends were excited. Aneesha, in detail, started to narrate the story to everyone about Raja Ashoka. The narration started in the car.  

Meanwhile, Dhruv and Rajnish started to search for the village. Dhruv was with the maps, and Rajnish was driving the car. They started searching for this village by asking the locals. The locals were suggesting not to go that side, but we had a heroic group with their small wings to start the paranormal investigation, so of course, they were not in the mood to listen to anybody. 

It was 4 pm in the evening, and they still did not see any village-like entrance, appearance, or board stating danger or the name Bharanagarh. And suddenly they saw a board called "Pirainagarh". They never saw that on the map or Rajasthan as far as Aneesha researched. But they entered there as people were welcoming. They stopped their car and asked where they wanted to go. Dhruv said Bharanagarh. One man said, Oh, Bharanagarh, you want to go? Go tomorrow. Today, you guys can stay here in Pirainagarh. Bharanagarh is not too far from here. Looks like you have travelled a lot. Take some rest. We have a guest house where you guys can stay. 

Lamya suggested that we should stay, as it's been a very tiring journey. All agreed. The car entered the village, and that was when Aneesha said, "How Shemrajan was bullied, and without his mistake, he was punished to be hanged till death. The moment she said this line, the car entered Pirainagarh. There was strong wind and the car stopped. The car was not moving. The locals helped to push the car, and it started again. 

As they proceeded to enter the village, they suddenly started feeling uneasy. The village was giving them a spooky vibe. It seemed like this village had no being. They stopped near the guest house with the help of locals. They unpacked and freshened up. Aneesha was not feeling well due to traveling, so she decided to sleep. 

The rest of the members stepped out for food at a local restaurant. Lamya was amazed that everybody in the village was so helpful and wanted us to stay here. Women were offering them dresses and jewellery. Men were offering some local drinks. Everybody was chatting and offering things. 

Rajnish asked one of the men, What's the story of Bharanagarh. The moment he asked this. Everybody went from there. Not a single soul stayed there, and that's when they heard a woman scream from a room where Aneesha was sleeping. All friends started rushing towards Aneesha's room

Who screamed? Was it Aneesha? 

Why did people walk away suddenly?
